Why campaign?

Campaigning is at the heart of Action for Children.

We are passionate about doing all we can to Disabled -child -playing -keyboardhelp children and young people break through poverty and disadvantage.

We work with children, young people and families who face incredibly difficult situations, including extreme poverty, abuse, neglect and disability. Our campaigns are rooted in our experience, and the work we do directly with children and young people gives us the insight, expertise and authority to campaign on their behalf.

We include children and young people at every level of our campaigning and help them to speak for themselves as often as possible.

We need your help

But we can't do it alone. With your help we can really turn up the volume and make our voices heard by the people with the power to change things.

Why campaign? Because it is only by speaking out that we can challenge the status quo. Positive change comes from debate, meaning we have a duty to put forward an alternative view - whenever it's necessary and whatever the issue - to force this and every government to think hard about how best to meet the needs of children, young people and their families.

Change won't happen overnight. In fact, it may take generations. But this doesn't mean we can't achieve positive results along the way. That's why Action for Children will campaign for as long as it takes.

Together, we can transform the lives of the UK's children and young people - both this and each following generation - forever.
