Action for Children appointed Official Charity of the Barclays Scottish Open 2011

Action for Children is to be the chosen charity for the Barclays Scottish Open 2011 Championship, which is to be hosted at the  Castle Stuart Golf Course, the tournament will start with a ProAm day on the 6th July followed by the main tournament on the 7th - 11th July.

This will be the first time that Castle Stuart has hosted the Scottish Open and will be the seventh course to host the event since 1972 following in the footsteps of Downfield, St. Andrews, Haggs Castle, Gleneagles, Carnoustie and Loch Lomond.

Barclays takes on the Birdie Pledge!!

Barclays who are  the sponsors of the Scottish Open have pledged to make a donation for every birdie, eagle and albatross scored over the 72 holes of the competition, the money raised by this initiative will go towards the 62 current projects Action for Children are running in Scotland.
