About The Woman of Influence Awards

The Woman of Influence Awards (Woi) exists to encourage, support and recognise influential women inScotland. These women are from many arenas including media, entertainment, business, politics, public service and the community - the common thread is that they have all made an outstanding contribution to our society. The Action for Children Scotland Community Award is also awarded each year which recognises and celebrates the achievements of a young woman who has benefited, grown in confidence, outlook and abilities as a result of the support received within an Action for Children Scotland project.  

Since our inaugural event in 2001, Woi has raised over £750,000 and has grown in prestige and popularity. Now, years later, it is stronger than ever with an exceptionally high profile. It provides an excellent opportunity for networking with; the professional sector, business leaders, celebrities and the wider business community.

The event is organised by a committee of dynamic Scottish women who volunteer their valuable time to deliver this event and raise funds for Action for Children Scotland.
