Dewsbury-born actor, Kazia Pelka, has backed a campaign to
highlight child neglect across UK.
Action for Children has been uncovering the true extent of child
neglect in the four home nations as part of its 'Take your action
for children' neglect appeal which was launched in October
2009.
Kazia, famous for roles in much-loved TV series such as Heartbeat
and Coronation Street, has joined other Yorkshire stars including
Harry Potter actor, Matthew Lewis and model Nell McAndrew, who have
signed a petition calling on governments across the UK to pursue a
policy of early intervention to tackle the problem of child
neglect.
