In response to the Queen’s Speech, Helen Donohue, Director of Policy and Public Affairs at Action for Children, commented:

Actress Sharon Horgan and caricature artist Matt Lawrence met with young people supported by the charity, Action for Children this week as part of the charity’s journeys artwork project which encourages people to draw illustrations about their lives and personal transformations.

Four young people who have left care or experienced homelessness, and are now living independently supported by Action for Children’s Network Brynmawr project, this week gave evidence to the Petitions Committee at the National Assembly for Wales, as part of a bid to improve the quantity and quality of work-based learning schemes for vulnerable young people in Wales.
