Action for Children and Elephant Family are delighted to have won two prestigious Blackbaud Digital Fundraising Awards for The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt - the giant Easter egg hunt which swept the nation earlier this year.

The charities received two awards for Best Pro Bono/ Partnership Campaign and Best Use of Geo Location in Fundraising.

Andrew Harris, Director of Fundraising at Action for Children said: "We are thrilled to be recognised for The Big Egg Hunt and all that we achieved through the event, including raising £1 million. We worked incredibly hard with Elephant Family to make the hunt exhilarating and innovative and to encourage participants to engage across all of our digital platforms.

"We had a lot of help from creative guru's Fallon, HomeMade Digital and Open Fundraising who helped us create a lively and engaging website and offline materials that complemented the real live hunt perfectly.

"Thank you to everyone who took part in the hunt and who voted, we are incredibly grateful for your help in making The Big Egg Hunt the success that it was."

The campaign, which was supported by the likes of HRH Prince Charles and Sir Ridley Scott, ran for six weeks in February and broke two Guinness World Records.
