Specialist fostering

Our specialist fostering placements cater for children with a broad range of issues.

They provide the best intensive and theraueptic care for each child's needs - from complex needs, mental health or self-harming behaviour to challenging or sexualised behaviour. We even have specialist placements for young offenders and children on remand. Placements are usually solo and can be short term, long term or time specific.

Local services like this are proven to work. They're all about providing a professional care team to look after children and young people with the most challenging behaviour and complex needs. Through them, we can deliver intensive support. Full-time carers, psychological support and skilful social workers who provide therapeutic re-parenting are all part of the package.

We also provide fostering services to unaccompanied asylum seeking children.

Action for Children Gael Og Fostering Service offers foster care to six to 16 year olds across the North of Scotland. It's an intensive fostering service that cares for vulnerable children and young people who require safety, stability and someone to care for them. Our diverse range of expert carers are there to help them build brighter futures.
