Steven's story
After 21 years in banking Steven decided to try
something completely new.
A dad of two grown up children, he loved being a father and knew
he wanted to make a difference to the lives of young people in his
community.
So foster caring seemed the perfect choice.
Steve has now been working with Action for Children since 2010.
"There can be nothing better than helping a young
person to turn their life around," he says.
"No two days are the same as a foster parent and I am
delighted with the way Patrick* has progressed. He is an
intelligent, musically gifted lad who is doing well at school. A
complete turn around from when he was first placed
with me."
