Disabled children in care

Disabled children need to be given the opportunity to reach their full potential.

This can be particularly challenging for those who are unable to live with their families. That's why our disabled children in care services provide supportive homes to disabled children and young people.

Meeting individual needs

A stable, secure and nurturing environment for children - that's what our services provide. With a focus on individual needs, we assess each child and develop an appropriate support plan. This could mean a placement within a residential school,  home or our adoption services.

The enriched learning environment within our schools and homes helps children learn and develop. Here, children and young people can make choices for themselves, develop, grow up and grow strong. We can help by working with them on life skills, like personal care, cooking and communication.

A range of support

By providing the right support, we help children and young people reach their full potential. Breaking down barriers, getting involved in the community and trying new experiences are all part of this. Where appropriate, we support children and young people to maintain contact with their families and work towards returning home. Our expert staff can also provide therapy for children and young people who have experienced trauma and abuse.
