Community-based

The goal is to ensure disabled children have the same opportunities in life as their non-disabled peers. Our community-based short breaks do just that. They support children to make and meet friends and enjoy new opportunities and experiences.

We let children decide what they want to do and work with them to make their wishes a reality. The approach is about being inclusive, flexible and, above all, fun.

Meeting the needs of disabled children

We're experts in meeting the needs of disabled children and youngpeople. That's why we can offer a wealth of services in universal settings, such as our children's centres.

Expert advice is something else we provide - like on how to tailor mainstream services to meet the needs of a wide range of children and young people. And, by working in partnership with mainstream providers, we can leave a lasting legacy of inclusion.

Supporting children and young people who have difficulty accessing services is our focus. This includes those on the autistic spectrum and those with multiple and complex needs or behaviour others find challenging.

Our short breaks help disabled young people learn new skills, through making improvements, being happy, and doing things that seemed impossible.
