Hedgerow Children's Centre

Hedgerow Children's Centre supports families with young children in the small village of Moorends, 18 miles out of Doncaster.

Having young children in a small community can make you feel cut off and on your own - especially if you don't have any support.

Supporting families

The centre helps families with young children in any way it can, particularly helping those who most need support, like young parents and lone parent families. Parents and children can drop in to the centre's play sessions. There's also training and confidence-building sessions, a library and day care on offer for parents who want to retrain or return to work.

A vital link

In a community that can sometimes feel isolated and forgotten, the number of families who go to the centre every week shows just how needed and valued it is.

We want to always be there for the children, parents and communities that most need our support, whether it's through children's centres, supporting young carers or helping families at particularly difficult times.
