Crisis intervention
Helping families overcome a crisis requires a number of
professional, flexible services. That's exactly what we provide,
with our range of crisis intervention services.
Accessibility is the key, so we deliver these services at home,
in our children's centres, supported lodgings and drop-in centres.
That way, we can reach the families that need most help, ensuring
the welfare of vulnerable and neglected children.
Advice, training, therapeutic interventions and/or
problem-focused programmes all feature as part of our psychological
support services. Our services offer support to all family members
at critical times, such as separation, divorce and bereavement.
Supporting homeless or potentially homeless families
These families often need help to sustain a tenancy in
mainstream housing. We provide this support, as well as safe homes
for homeless young people. And, we have an independent visitor
service for young people leaving care within the youth justice
system who have no parent or guardian.
Short breaks/outreach
We know that parents and carers need regular, reliable breaks.
Our short breaks and outreach services provide just that. They
include a residential 'time out' element for up to 72 hours, and a
24/7 on-call system.
Because our projects are flexible, we can operate when we are
needed, including out of hours. Working in partnership with other
agencies, we can respond to specific issues and needs.
