Octopus Children's Centre
We need your views
We want to make the children's centre webpage bigger and better, but need your help. Please fill in this short survey and share your views about the information you want to see.
Join the fun at Octopus and meet other families while your child gets stuck into the fun learning activities on offer.
From toddler groups to stay-and-play and messy play sessions, there's always something to keep them entertained.
And there's support for you, too. We hold regular sessions like Job Centre Plus events to help you get back into work.
And if you're a new parent, our team is on hand to help with advice and support for breastfeeding.
It's not just for mums either - our monthly session just for dads and male carers gives men a chance to bond with their children and get involved too.
Here's just a few of the sessions you'll find at the centre:
- Stay-and-play sessions
- Parent and carer groups
- Music and craft
- Rhyme time
- Baby sing-and-sign
- Bumps and babes group
- Adult learning courses
- Physical play sessions
- Dad and me - once a month

As part of overall health and wellbeing, it is important that children maintain a healthy weight. Currently, one in five Hampshire children in Year R are categorised as either overweight or obese.
