Our approach

Young -child -smiling -as -woman -holds -himWhen universal and targeted services are available in one place. When specialist support and inclusive settings are made more readily available. When care plans cut across a child's emotional, social, educational and health needs, to give them full wrap-around support. Then the thinking, the planning, the delivery is there, to offer solutions that work, no matter the need. It's about putting the child at the centre. And being there for as long as it takes.

Who we help

We provide services for children and young people:

  • whose families need support
  • who cannot live with their birth families
  • who are affected by disability
  • who are the most vulnerable

Offering a 'continuum of care'

We're able to draw on our knowledge and expertise of working with lots of different children, young people and families in lots of different ways. Like combining intensive fostering with our special schools, delivering specialist disability services through our children's centres, and offering integrated youth support services (IYSS). Connecting services in these ways means seamless support, helping to achieve the best outcomes for all children and young people.

Meeting needs

The goal is always the same: to ensure all children and young people get the best start in life and achieve their full potential. But the world is changing: Needs of children and young people are becoming more complex. Shrinking commissioner budgets are offset with growing requirements to achieve stretching targets and deliver improved outcomes. Then there's balancing the desire for a mixed market with increasing pressures on efficiency savings.

While these are challenging and changing times, together we can come up with solutions that work. For you. For children and young people. For families.

Our service ethos

It's our belief in and our commitment to early intervention. To catch problems early, stopping them from getting worse and preventing them from happening in the first place whenever possible.

It's our use of an inclusive approach, no matter the service. To help ensure every child and young person gets the support they need, when they need it.

And it's our value of participation with all children, families, and communities we work. To offer a bespoke approach, no matter the need.

Most of all, it's about putting the child at the centre of everything we do, and being there for as long as it takes.
