The Patch and The Harbour Children's Centre

Get your child's early years off to a flying start with a range of activities to stimulate them in a warm and safe environment.

With stay-and-play sessions and learning activities, you'll learn with them and watch them develop.

You'll meet other parents and make new friends, learning from their experience as well as from the advice and guidance of the centre's team.

The Patch Children's Centre is Monday to Thursday 9am-3pm. The Harbour is open on Thursday and Friday from 9am to 3pm.

We have a range of sessions including:

  • Baby bonding
  • Dad's stay and play
  • Young parent's group
  • Active Tots

Come and join our Save a Baby's Life course. For more details, click here.

Healthy weights

As part of overall health and wellbeing, it is important that children maintain a healthy weight. Currently, one in five Hampshire children in Year R are categorised as either overweight or obese. Wessex Healthier Together - Parent Consultation

Your Opinion Counts

When your child is suffering from one of the common childhood illnesses eg a fever, rattly chest, runny nose, diarrhoea & vomiting, rash, urine infection; we would like to know what health services you use and how you think they could be improved.

Sometimes it is confusing to understand which services to use and when, and sometimes parents may choose to visit their A&E department or call 999 for an ambulance – when actually, if more local services were available, their child could have been looked after in the comfort of their own home.

The Wessex Healthier Together project has been set up to review how urgent paediatric care could be better delivered to children (aged under 5years) in Hampshire, Dorset & Wiltshire areas; and part of the process is to listen to the views of parents and carers.

Your thoughts are very important and we would be grateful if you could take 5mins to complete the survey for Parent/Carer/Guardians at: http://www.healthiertogetherwessex.nhs.uk/surveys/
