Education, employment and training
Our services aim to help young people
realise their potential. With strong aspirations young people can
overcome some of the most difficult obstacles.
Education Services
Our education services show young people the possibilities. We
do this through:
- children's centres and other early years services, such as
parenting classes
- alternative provision for young people excluded from school or
at risk of exclusion
- vocational training and work-based learning for 14-19 year
olds
- Five special schools for children and young people with
challenging, complex and profound needs
Employment and Training Services
Young people explore their options, deciding for themselves
which route suits them best. We do this through:
- Offering work tasters, work experience placements,
employability skills and job seeking workshops with our corporate
partners through our Employability Programme
- Providing internship opportunities supported by the Future Jobs
Fund
- Giving young people learning and employment opportunities
through our Youth Work Apprenticeships
