Dry January

80% of your fundraising goes to helping vulnerable children and families and 20% goes to Alcohol Change UK, which works to end the harm caused by alcohol. We've partnered with Alcohol Change this January, to lose the booze and raise valuable funds.

Alcohol misuse is seen in almost 20% of social care cases in the UK where children are in need of help or protection.

Since 2015, Action for Children has worked with more than 300 young people to help them reduce or stop harmful use of alcohol, and with over 500 children to protect them from poor care associated with parental alcohol misuse.

You can make a difference this January.

Participating in Dry January by giving up alcohol for a month is great way to support the work we do for vulnerable children and families across the UK. It also gives your body a chance to unwind after the holidays.

I originally signed up to support Action for Children and raise awareness of alcohol misuse. Overall I lost half a stone, found my fitness levels were much better. I saved on a bit of money too - I would definitely do it again!
