Every 15 minutes a child is moved in to care for their own safety.

Vulnerable children are being ignored, left without support to face abuse and neglect, domestic abuse, deprivation and poor mental health.

Things are getting worse, not better.

Our report shows that two-thirds of parents and grandparents think that childhoods are getting worse. We need to support children and families before problems reach crisis point.

Children like Grace are suffering

Grace* was just three when she and her mum first fled abuse. When she was six years old her mother remarried and sadly the abuse they’d fled started all over again.

When Grace was 16, she and her mother escaped the abuse overnight. But despite being out of the abusive situation, soon everything Grace had experienced and witnessed became too much for her.

* Grace wants you to hear this, but for her protection, we have changed her name.
