Please donate and help children who have suffered abuse

Your donation will help us keep children safe.

It could even help save a child’s life.

We run over 600 separate services across the UK, working to improve the lives of 370,000 children, parents and carers. We intervene early when children are at risk of harm, and strive to stop abuse and neglect before it happens. Action for Children is also a registered fostering and adoption agency; we are experts in providing safe and loving homes to children who have previously suffered abuse or severe neglect.

Our Impact and Annual Report

We run over 600 separate services across the UK, working to improve the lives of 390,000 children, parents and carers. We intervene early when children are at risk of harm, and strive to stop abuse and neglect before it happens. Action for Children is also a registered fostering and adoption agency; we are experts in providing safe and loving homes to children who have previously suffered abuse or severe neglect.

Some statistics from our latest Impact Report show that, for the children we work with:

  • 96% are at reduced risk of physical, sexual, or emotional abuse
  • 95% of indicators of child neglect are addressed
  • 87% have better emotional wellbeing

You can read more our impact here.

Every year we also publish our Annual Report, which explains and discusses what we’ve achieved and undertaken in the previous financial year. This is a publicly available document that contains information on our finances and expenditure.

Why are regular gifts so important? One-off donations are wonderful, and make a real contribution to the work we do. But having reliable income from regular donations – (like direct debits) means we can better plan ahead as an organisation. That means we can help more children, more effectively – and that’s all we’re here to do.
