Why I support Action for Children - Anthea's story

Posted by / Monday 26 December 2016 / Fundraising

Anthea Turner first got involved with Action for Children through Richard Farleigh, one of our Ambassadors

Over the past two years, you may have seen photos of her at our annual Byte Night event. She hosted on the night and slept out with hundreds of others. Her support helps raise the profile of our work to tackle the root causes of homelessness. And our work keeping vulnerable young people off the streets and enabling them to build better lives.

She championed us in interviews with national media. These include Daily Mail, Daily Express, Wright Stuff, Sky Sunrise and Best Magazine.

"Anthea Turner is one of our most dedicated supporters."

Anthea has attended and hosted several other fundraising events in 2016 such as The Ultimate News Quiz. Recently, she even auctioned herself for a lunch date. This raised £3,000 for us.
