Back down to Earth

Last week we told you about Ayesha who was taking on the challenge to raise money for our Disability Lincolnshire service by taking part in a tandem skydive. Despite it being Ayesha's first ever flight, she completed her skydive and is on track to reach her fundraising goal!

"I was a little nervous the day before but that was only because I thought the jump might be called off because of the bad weather”, explains Ayesha. “Thankfully the weather held and I had such a great day. I couldn’t believe the views out the plane window but before I could soak it all up I was strapped to my parachute buddy and hanging out of the door."

"The adrenaline of the freefall part was amazing and I was told we fell about 10,000 feet before the parachute opened. Then the glide down was so strangely quiet and peaceful after all the noise."

Ayesha is still looking for donations to help her reach her £2,000 target and her local pub, the Shoulder of Mutton in Ruskington, is holding a sponsored quiz on her behalf on Saturday 5 March - to register telephone (01526) 832 220.

Well done for your amazing skydive, Ayesha - you're brilliant!
