Deborah is the Kitchen Supervisor for three of our Early Years' services in Exeter - Beacon Nursery, Cedars Pre School and Whipton Children’s Centre. She uses the food to teach the children some basic cooking and baking skills.

Deborah says, "This crumble is a pudding which I adapt to reflect the change in seasons."

"I have used a selection of British soft fruit which are currently at their best alongside blueberries which are plentiful and cheap. This pudding I call Beacon Berry Crumble! It's delicious served warm with custard or a dollop of natural yoghurt."

We encourage young children to eat well and learn about food. This not only helps protect their health while young but also sets the foundations for their future health and wellbeing.
