Sheryl Anderson

Revd Dr Sheryl Anderson

Reverend Anderson has been the Chair of the Liverpool Methodist District since September 2014 and has a background in teaching and social work, specialising in work with young offenders. She has been a Methodist presbyter for nearly twenty years, serving as a circuit minister in appointments on the South Coast of England and in London.

For nine years, Sheryl was Director of the South London Mission - a long established Methodist social outreach agency - and ministered to a largely West African congregation at Bermondsey Central Hall Methodist Church. Before moving to Liverpool she served in the Methodist Connexional Team, where she was responsible for administering the church's processes in relation to training for ordained ministry in the British Methodist Church.

Sheryl is committed to life-long learning, and has an MA in the Philosophy of Religion and a Doctorate in Theology and Ministry, both from King's College London.
