Payroll Giving is a simple way to make a regular donation to Action for Children straight from your salary.

Every time you're paid, your payroll department will deduct the agreed amount from your salary – you don’t need to do anything else.

Payroll Giving is one of the most tax-effective ways of giving to charity, because your donation is deducted from your gross pay before tax. So, if you agree to give £5, as a basic rate tax payer you’ll only pay £4 – the taxman makes up the remaining £1. If you are a higher rate tax payer, you’ll pay £3 and the taxman will make up the remaining £2.

• £5 a month could give a child seven healthy breakfasts.
• £10 a month could provide 30 minutes of intensive support to a family where children are at risk of neglect.
• £15 a month could provide 30 minutes of one-to-one counselling for a child or young person affected by domestic abuse.
