Sporty Santa Campaign - two men running in the forest with secret santa hats

Get moving in your free Santa hat this December and raise funds to help vulnerable children.

Are you up for the challenge?

There’s lots of ways to get involved as a Sporty Santa this Christmas. You could take 10,000 steps every day for the month, join a local Santa run, or take part in any sporty activity of your choice. Every step you take will make a difference to vulnerable children and young people.

Step 1

Decide how you’re going to be a Sporty Santa. Whether it’s walking with friends or taking part in an organised race, simply wear your Santa hat and collect sponsorship for the activity of your choice!

Need some activity inspiration? Check out events in your area on Run for Charity and make sure you sign up with Action for Children as your chosen charity.

Your donations help us to support vulnerable children, young people and their families in the UK.

85p of every £1* we spend goes directly towards helping children, young people and their families. We make sure that every penny you donate goes where it will have the greatest impact on children’s lives. Donations from this campaign will be unrestricted and used by Action for Children for its general charitable purposes. That means they’re not spent on one project or one specific area of the UK, but where the need is greatest. Some of our unrestricted funding goes towards essential management and administration costs to make sure funding can reach the children and families who are most in need of support.

*Figure based on audited 2023/24 charity accounts that exclude subsidiary companies like commercial nurseries.
