Sarika Patel is Chair of the Board of Trustees. She is a business leader with nearly 30 years of public, private organisational experience. She is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Marketer. She is also a graduate in law.
Her experience includes leadership of multi-sited teams, corporate development, and finance. Her skills include acquiring, integrating and developing businesses, as well as company restructuring and turnaround.
Sarika has stepped down from a career in investment banking to focus on a portfolio non-executive career. She is currently on the Board of the Office for Nuclear Regulation, where she chairs the Audit, Risk and Assurance committee. She is a Commissioner and chair of the Audit Committee at the Gambling Commission.
Sarika is a Trustee of the Royal Institution, where she chairs the audit committee. She has just stepped down from the Board of Imperial Healthcare Trust, where she chaired the finance and investment committee and remuneration committee.
Her previous non-exec roles include roles with Klopman Group of companies and the University of Greenwich. She was Vice Chair of Centrepoint, a leading charity that supports homeless young people.
Sarika acquired her exceptional depth of experience through her career progression. She started her professional career at Price Waterhouse and had early roles in private enterprise. She held increasingly senior positions in the public sector, culminating in Director of Innovation at London Development Agency.
From there she moved into the advisory business as National Head of Technology at Grant Thornton. She then led the European operation of a large Indian conglomerate, MW Corp, including running a manufacturing business based in Italy, before joining Zeus Caps. She stepped down from Zeus in Dec 2017.
