Sue marked her 70th birthday with a walking challenge for Action for Children. Sue walked 13 miles over five days and asked friends to sponsor her instead of buying a birthday present.
Eric and Idris developed a passion for looking after their environment during 2020. They were keen to do whatever they could to help their local area by keeping it tidy, and regularly asked their parents if they could pick up litter during their walks.
They decided to challenge themselves to litter pick every day for 100 days and raise money for Action for Children in the process.
Here’s what Eric and Idris had to say about their challenge:
“We are litter picking because we want to do our bit for the environment. We’ve decided we want to pick up the rubbish we see and put it in the bin, and we recycle what we can. We started on our walks home from school, which made us feel proud of ourselves and like we were making a positive difference.”
Eric and Idris are environmental champions and through their very own fundraising idea, have raised more than £300 for Action for Children.
