We cater for children aged 0-11 years and are open from 8am to 6pm

We run a term time breakfast and after school club as well as a holiday club during school holidays.

We are eligible to provide free education 15 hours per week for 3-5 year olds.

Our service aims to meet the needs of the community, we therefore work closely with Holy Family School and provide wrap around care inclusive of pick up and drop off at school.

For early starters we provide breakfast club where a healthy breakfast is provided before the children are escorted to school. We also run an after school club which caters for children 4 to 11 years and in holiday time we have a jam packed activity schedule for holiday club.

Big Cherry Tree follows a comprehensive set of policies and procedures to ensure we provide the highest quality service to all children and families who use our service.

One parent said:

"I visited 6 other nurseries before I chose Big Cherry Tree, the thing that was most appealing to me was the quality resources and the high emphasis placed on catering for individual learning and developmental needs."

Out of School Club

During term times the breakfast club runs from 8-9am and the after school club runs from 3.15-6pm. Both services include the drop off and pick up of the children at the local school, Holy Family Catholic Primary.

Breakfast club is charged at £3.50 per day and includes a breakfast of cereal and toast. After school club is charged at £7.50 per day and includes a tea time snack. Various activities and games are provided for the children at the breakfast and after school club but there is no set timetable of events.

During the school holidays, we operate a full time holiday club, from 8am-6pm. The full day costs £20, or children can attend from 8am-1pm or 1pm-6pm at a cost of £12.00 per session.

All children in the area, not just Holy Family attendees, can attend the holiday club, providing they are aged 5-11.

The holiday club timetable is drawn up approximately 2 weeks prior to each separate holiday period and alters every time in order to give the children variety. If a day includes a trip for which there will be a subsequent cost to the parents (bus fare, entry fee etc.) the staff will notify the parents in advance.

Holiday club children are asked to supply a packed lunch for their midday meal but we will provide the children with breakfast and a tea time snack.
