Reverend Dr Michael Long is the Minister of Notting Hill Methodist Church in West London. He joined the Board of Trustees in July 2020.
He has served in a variety of appointments in London, Surrey and North Wales for 30 years, and as a Circuit Superintendent for many of those. He chaired Shelter’s commission on Social Housing, which published its report in 2019. He also serves on the Methodist Church’s Faith and Order Committee.
His research interests include theological reflection on a range of social and political issues. These include housing, money, and the church’s ministry in traumatised and marginalised communities.
He has wide experience of charity governance. He serves as a school governor and is on the boards of Citizens Advice Bureau and a seamen’s mission.
