Robert Fleming
Robert has been a Scotland Committee member of the Action for Children since 2021, and became a Trustee of the main board in April 2026.
He has been Director of Development at the University of St Andrews since 2012, and is responsible for philanthropy, alumni relations, and the Family Programme.
The University publicly launched the Making Waves Campaign in September 2024, and aims to raise £300m by 2030.
Prior to St Andrews, Robert was a Vice President for GG+A (management consultants in philanthropy, based in Chicago), held Director of Development positions at the University of Edinburgh and Trinity College of Music, and was Head of Sponsorship Development at the Royal Shakespeare Company, where he was also co-chair of Arts & Business London Development Forum.
He is currently chairman of the Caledonian Group of higher education development directors in Scotland, and chairman of local grassroots football team St Andrews Colts FC.
Robert served on the CASE Commission for Philanthropy from 2014 to 2017, and previously served on the boards of Scottish Ensemble, Mendelssohn on Mull Festival, and Making Music.
