Steve Bell

Steve Bell joined the Board of Trustees at Action for Children in November 2020. Steve Chairs our Audit & Risk Committee.

Steve was the first of his extended family to attend university. He read law at Durham and qualified as a chartered accountant.

He then spent 33 years with accounting firm EY in a variety of roles. He was a leader for the European Financial Services consulting business, and a Partner at EY from 1999 until 2020.

Steve is an Independent Member of the Real Time Gross Settlement/CHAPS Board at the Bank of England.

Steve is treasurer of Billericay Cricket Club, a club with six adult teams, a veterans team, two women's teams and multiple colts teams. His interests include golf, watching sport (particularly football and cricket) and hiking.
