What is Secret Santa and why is it important?
As the festive season approaches, our Secret Santa Christmas appeal is back to spread joy and generosity.
Each year, we ask people to become a Secret Santa for a vulnerable child - by either making a donation or buying a charity gift.
Why?
Because for too many children across the UK, Christmas is anything but magical. No stockings. No presents. No festive food - often no food at all.
But you could help change that and help a vulnerable child feel the magic of Christmas.
Your virtual gift could help a vulnerable child feel the magic of Christmas
4.5 million UK children now live in poverty. That’s 31% of all children. And, devastatingly, 100,000 more children than the previous year. More children are suffering. More families are at breaking point.
At Action for Children, we have over 2,500 frontline workers supporting children every day.
We’re a vital lifeline for desperate families with nowhere to turn. And we know that for a child, a Christmas present isn’t just something to unwrap.
It’s knowing they deserve happiness, magic and love. Just like any other child. You could give them this feeling.
Last year, incredible people like you were driven by love to take action for children.
Because of your amazing generosity, families are given hope and support so children don’t miss out on a safe and happy childhood.
By supporting us, and being a Secret Santa, you helped us be there for 551,400 children, young people and families in the UK, through 342 services.
Be a Secret Santa and you could help a vulnerable child feel the magic of Christmas.
Donate and you could help a vulnerable child feel the magic of Christmas.
