Fostering should be a rewarding experience for everyone. We will talk to you about the children who need families and seek your views and wishes.
Who we're looking for
Foster parents come from all walks of life. To foster, you will need to be at least 25 and have a spare bedroom.
You’ll have to be compassionate, understanding and good with children. We’re looking for people who have time to give to a child who may have experienced difficulties in their life.
Support and training
- 24-hour support, with a supervising social worker and a foster parent helpline.
- Extensive training and clear guidance.
- Support groups and a buddy system for new foster parents.
- Breaks when you need them.
- Events and activities throughout the year.
- Competitive fees and allowances and a range of benefits and discounts.
Our services take an attachment-based approach, from assessment of foster parents through to support of children. We have an art space for fun and creativity, and a therapeutic space for children to recover from trauma.
