Our Positive Outcome Play Service supports children and young people with disabilities from birth to 18-years-old across Neath Port Talbot (NPT) and Swansea
We run groups and some one-to-one and two-to-one sessions within the local community and at project bases. Sessions are held after school and on weekends.
The service provides opportunities for the children to have fun, while developing their social, communication and practical life skills. We work toward personal goals for each child and young person.
We support children and young people with a variety of disabilities, additional needs and challenging behaviours.
Within NPT, referrals come directly from Social Services Child Care Disability Team following an assessment of need. In Swansea, the majority of referrals come from the Child Care Disability Team, but other professionals can also refer if their assessment highlights the need for the service.
