Family Hubs offer support to expectant parents, children, young people and their families. They provide a single place to go for support and information from a variety of services. Family hubs make it easier for you to get the support you need.
Our Best Start Family Hub opening hours are 8:30am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

Who can get support?
You can get support from a Family Hub if you are:
- a parent or carer of a child aged 0 to 19, or 25 with special educational needs or a disability
- pregnant
- a young person up to the age of 19, or up to 25 for a young person with special educational needs or a disability

I have absolutely loved these sessions and will miss them every Monday morning :) Thank you for giving us advice and the chance to talk to other parents, it made me feel more normal and that I was doing things right!
Services provided
Typically, you’ll be able to access a wide range of services, such as:
- parenting support such as baby groups and parent classes
- support for wellbeing and mental health
- support for children with special educational needs and disabilities
- access to financial and debt advice
- information about local youth clubs
- domestic abuse support
- infant feeding advice

The group was run amazingly, very welcoming, friendly and informative, we enjoyed it very much and learnt from it,extremely helpful, highly recommend these courses, wish it was longer as we miss coming now it's over, but thank you, great help.
Lovely facilitators who make it super accommodating even when I have a crying baby or need to pop out for a few minutes to settle my baby. Such lovely staff, super compassionate and understanding who make me feel very encouraged.
