Why become a Young Ambassador

What is the Young Ambassadors Board?

The Young Ambassadors Board is an empowering way for young people, like you, to have a say in the running of Action for Children. And to gain new skills and experiences along the way.

By taking part in discussions and activities, you'll play an important role in representing young people’s voices and making sure your views are heard.

Members of our Young Ambassadors Board will:

  • Attend fun online monthly meet-ups.
  • Work with other young people on action projects that will explore mental health and wellbeing, family support, disability, and children in care.
  • Speak to our staff and trustees. By sharing your views and advice, you can use your voice to let us know what we're doing right and what we can be doing better on matters affecting young people.
  • Have fun, develop new skills, make new friends, and take part in exciting opportunities all while making a difference.

Yes. This group is free to join, with meetings taking place online once a month.

Your feedback and experiences will help to inform, shape, and influence what we do and the decisions we make as a children’s charity.

You'll work closely with staff from across Action for Children, including senior leaders and the trustees.

There'll also be opportunities to travel across the country, take part in fun projects, exciting events, high-profile campaigns, and so much more!
