She is most well known as the editor in chief of Glamour, a title she launched in 2001 that rapidly became the biggest-selling women’s magazine in the UK and Europe.  During her time there, she also launched the internationally renowned Glamour Women of the Year Awards.

She was the editor of the Mail on Sunday’s YOU magazine from 2018-2022, the most widely-read women’s magazine in Britain with close to 2 million readers every week.

She is a five-time winner of an Editor of the Year award from the British Society of Magazine Editors.

In 2022, Jo was appointed CEO of the charity, Children With Cancer UK. She held the position for two years, leading a strategy to increase the profile of this ‘sleeping giant’, spearheading new fundraising and awareness initiatives.

Born in Sydney, Australia, Jo even worked as a publicist in her early career for the iconic Aussie soap, Neighbours.  She is a well-known broadcaster and podcaster, presenting on Lorraine and hosting Palace Confidential, the royal talk show watched by millions around the world. She has written extensively for most national newspapers including The Telegraph, The Times, The Daily Mail and The Independent.

Spring Lunch 2025

On the 18th March we were delighted to welcome guests to the 37th annual Spring Lunch at Grosvenor House, Park Lane. It was an afternoon of elegance, generosity, and celebration—raising a record breaking £130,000 for Action for Children.

We were thrilled to welcome our special keynote speaker, Helen Fielding, author of Bridget Jones’s Diary, who took part in an exclusive and interactive Q&A session with our audience. We heard from one of Action for Children’s Young Ambassadors, Miracle, who shared their story and passion for Action for Children. Guests were also treated to a stunning fashion show by Karina Bond who showcased their bold, intricate designs that wowed the audience.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported this annual fundraising event, and a big thank you to our amazing Spring Lunch Committee, who make this event possible every year. The generosity of all our Spring Lunch supporters help to transform lives and build brighter futures.
