By giving straight from your salary, you donate before you pay tax, meaning that it costs you less to give.

If you're an employee
Setting up Payroll Giving is easy.
- All you need to do is complete this form.
- Afterwards, every time you're paid, your payroll department will deduct the agreed amount from your salary – you don’t need to do anything else.
If you're an employer
Setting up Payroll Giving for your employees is straightforward - simply contact us at [email protected] and we'll walk you through the next steps.
When you donate through your salary, your donation is deducted from your gross pay before tax.
This means that if you’re a basic rate tax payer, a monthly donation of £10 will only cost you £8 – the taxman makes up the remaining £2. If you’re a higher rate tax payer, you’ll pay £6, and if you pay the highest rate of income tax, you’ll only pay £5.50
This makes Payroll Giving one of the most tax-effective ways of giving to charity.

- £10 a month could pay for books and toys to help a child learn.
- £25 a month could contribute to gas to warm a family's home.
