Kinder
Bringing play back into every day
Action for Children is proud to be partnering with Kinder for a two-year programme to help children, young people and families rediscover the power of play.
For many families, time and space to play isn’t always easy to find. When life is under pressure, it’s often one of the first things to slip away. But play is more than just fun – it’s how families connect, build trust, and grow in confidence together. Those moments can help shape futures.
Together, Kinder and Action for Children are helping bring play back into every day – at home, in local communities, and in spaces designed for children who need them most.
Kinder will be supporting in three main areas:
- Play Break Clubs: safe, welcoming community sessions where families can come together and experience play side by side.
- Play Boxes: packed with fun ideas and activities for families to enjoy at home, helping make play simple, joyful and part of everyday life.
- Play Break Areas: inclusive environments such as sensory rooms and calm spaces, where children – particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities – can feel safe, supported and free to play in ways that work for them.
By working together, we’re helping families reconnect through shared moments, build confidence and emotional wellbeing, and remove the barriers that can stand in the way of play. Because every family deserves the chance to experience connection, joy, and the simple moments that can make a lasting difference.
