Sleeping out to help out: Boycott your Bed 2025

On 3 October, corporate supporters across the UK gave up their bed to raise money for Action for Children.
Boycott your Bed is our annual fundraising event where corporate supporters give up their bed for one night - all to raise vital funds and awareness for vulnerable families without a safe place to sleep.
This year marked the event's 28th anniversary, with sleep outs taking place in London, Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester.

Among the hundreds of people taking part were both first-timers and regular supporters, united as they braved the rainy night with only a sleeping bag and mat.
Despite Storm Amy hitting on the same night, we quickly adapted to ensure everyone’s safety - relocating sleepout areas in London, Manchester, and Leeds, while our Glasgow participants joined from the safety of their homes due to severe weather warnings.
Before settling down for the night, teams across the UK took part in games, drinks and prize raffles.
There were also inspiring talks from Action for Children speakers, who shared powerful stories about how the money raised will support vulnerable children and families.

Despite the rain and cold, everyone came together with a shared commitment - to stand in solidarity with families who go without life's basic essentials.
Businessman and BBC's The Apprentice winner, Tim Campbell MBE, attended the London event.
Speaking to him as he settled down for the night, he said: “What I love about this event is that it brings people from all different walks of life together for one particular aim - to make sure that we are raising awareness about the adversity lots of young children and their families across the country.”
Tomorrow I'll probably feel tired and I won't get much sleep. But I'll also feel gratitude, knowing I can go home to a bed. That's a comfort many people don't have. That humility is really important, and one we can’t forget.
Right now, 4.5 million children live in poverty in the UK. Many will go to bed hungry or struggle to sleep in a cold, damp house.
Across the UK, there were over 500 people sleeping out to help vulnerable children and young people.
Among them were teams from our headline sponsor, Lenovo, and our supporting sponsor, Tandem Property Asset Management.
Other teams who braved the storm included AgileSource, Scottish Friendly, Siemens, Kier Construction Scotland, Capgemini DCX and more!
In its 28th year, Boycott your Bed has raised an incredible £14.3 million to help make sure children have the essentials they need for a safe and happy childhood.
