Over the years, Grace Williams from Llanelli, has raised thousands of pounds for charity, by doing her own fundraising.

Recently, she was celebrated as Young Fundraiser of the Year at the National Radio's Pride of Wales Awards 2025.

Grace’s unique fundraising story

In 2024, 10-year-old Grace was inspired by her mum, who was fundraising for charity at the time.

Wanting to follow in her mum's footsteps, Grace put her creative thinking cap on. She decided to start her very own fundraising project, which saw her craft and sell handmade bracelets for charity.

Grace's dedication to fundraising quickly caught the attention and support from her local community.

What started as a fun project, turned into a mission to help vulnerable children across the UK.

So far, Grace has managed to raise over £5000 for her chosen charities, including Action for Children.

In recognition of her generosity, last year Grace was invited to our Giving Grotto in London. Throughout the day, she encouraged families to become a Secret Santa and donate a gift to a vulnerable child.

I’m grateful to all the people that have been supporting me and giving money to the charity.

Grace with Young Fundraiser of the Year award

To celebrate her incredible fundraising efforts, Grace was awarded Young Fundraiser of the Year at the National Radio's Pride of Wales Awards 2025.

During the special ceremony that honours passionate unsung heroes across Wales, Grace even managed to snap a photo with Welsh writer and actress, Ruth Jones.

Grace is one of our young fundraising superstars and we couldn’t be more grateful for her brilliant determination to support our mission.

We can only hope that her kindness will encourage and inspire others to take action for vulnerable children and families across the UK.

Why fundraise for Action for Children?

We work to improve the lives of children, young people, and families across the UK.

We do this by running services including parenting classes and children’s centres. We provide breaks for young carers, and extra help for disabled children. And support young people at risk of homelessness.

By fundraising, you could help us continue running these vital services so that we can reach the families that need us most.
