As one of London’s most popular charity fundraising events, the Ultimate News Quiz has raised over £2.7 million since it began in 2007.
The latest Ultimate News Quiz took place on Tuesday 10 March 2026, returning the iconic Guildhall in London for our second year. The Quiz was hosted by University Challenge host Amol Rajan.
The charity fundraising event invites a guest list of TV and News personalities to battle it out in a current affairs quiz.
Previous years have seen famous faces including Louis Theroux, Grayson Perry, Richard Osman, Dermot O'Leary, Vanessa Feltz, Louis Theroux, Dr Ranj Singh, Martin Lewis, Carol Vorderman, Piers Morgan, Susanna Reid and stars of ITV’s the Chase racing to be crowned champions.
Alongside teams such as BBC, ITV, Good Morning Britain, CNN, Channel 4 News and 5 News. We’ve also had renowned corporations with the likes of Google, Amazon and Aviva in attendance.
In 2026, the Ultimate News Quiz raised a £253,000 to support Action for Children.
