Across the UK, vulnerable children need someone like you. You could bring comfort and joy this Christmas, when it matters most.

For most of us, Christmas is a time for festivity and joy.

But for vulnerable children across the UK, Christmas can feel very different. No stockings. No presents. No festive food - maybe no food at all.  That’s why we’re asking for your support. With your help, we could bring the magic back to Christmas.

Why support our Christmas appeal?

Right now, there are 4.5 million children living in poverty in the UK. That’s 31% of all children.

It’s easy to think that poverty happens elsewhere. But it’s affecting children in your community. For many, Christmas is just another day of empty cupboards and putting on an extra jumper to keep warm. And wondering why their friend got presents and they didn’t.

How you make a difference: Chloe's* story

Last Christmas, Chloe and her mum, Layla, were huddled under blankets. Without heating, or enough food, presents were out of the question.

But thanks to the support of charity Secret Santas, our service workers were able to step in.

*Chloe's story is based on real examples of children we support.

I wanted to burst into tears. She’s six-years-old and saying "I don’t need any presents." Like her Christmas list didn’t matter.

Chloe* holding her Christmas present

The week before Christmas, Chloe and Layla's support worker turned up at their house with decorations, a festive food hamper, and a bag of Christmas presents for Chloe.

Chloe couldn't believe it when she discovered a pair of football boots that she had wanted all year.

Watching Chloe’s face as she unwrapped the box, and then saw what was inside it was just the best feeling ever. The excitement, the pure joy, I will never forget it. She burst into tears and kept saying “Santa came, he really came!”
