Jeremy Newman is an experienced chair, trustee and business leader with roles spanning the public, private and charity sectors. Jeremy joined Action for Children as Chair in August 2026.
Reverend Dr Michael Long joined Action for Children’s Board of Trustees in July 2020, bringing 35 years’ ministry experience and senior roles within the Methodist Church.
Steve Bell joined Action for Children’s Board of Trustees in November 2020 and chairs the Audit & Risk Committee, bringing 33 years’ leadership experience from EY.
Peter Curran joined Action for Children’s Board of Trustees in February 2021, bringing senior financial leadership experience as former CFO for South Wales Police & Crime Commissioner.
Charles Geekie, an Action for Children Trustee since April 2023, is a practising family law barrister and was a panel member of the Jay Review.
Navin Kaul joined the Board of Trustees at Action for Children in February 2024. Navin is a qualified chartered accountant and a Partner at EY.
Robert has served on Action for Children’s Scotland Committee since 2021 and joined the charity’s main board as a Trustee in April 2026.
Liz Bell joined Action for Children’s Board of Trustees in April 2026, bringing over 30 years’ experience as a senior leader committed to fair opportunity.
