We help young people aged 16-24 achieve their next employment or higher education goals though individualised support and planning

How it works

One Stop is an ongoing 1:1 service delivered at our Glasgow office. We focus on supporting young people aged 16-24 who are looking to gain an individualised action plan that will aid them in finding their next employment or higher education venture.

Within the 1:1 service, participants will be supported on topics such as:

  • Budgeting
  • Obtaining ID
  • Independent Travel
  • New Bank Account Set Up
  • National Insurance Number
  • SQA Level 3 & 4 Qualifications
  • Young Scot Card (Free bus pass for under 22s only)
  • Employability Sessions (CV and interviews, job or college search and applications)
  • Specialist support to access services (Mental health, drugs and addiction, housing, etc)

All participants will be allocated a key worker who will support them throughout the 1:1 process and can provide further support for up to 6 months, depending upon the individual's needs.

Positive engagement in this service will lead to priority access to Action for Children Employability Services. We will work collaboratively with any referring agency or other supports already involved with the young person and will provide regular updates.
